The Humble Bundle Division

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Hello and welcome everyone to our first installment of The Rant (which may or may not get a name change). As you already guessed by the title, lo and behold, I have an opinion about the Humble THQ Bundle! And so does the entire internet apparently, with ridiculously exaggerated claims that the Humble Bundle is selling out, damaging it's integrity, profiteering and whatnot. Frankly all of that is complete bullshit. THQ hasn't been spared either, being accused of only attempting to gather positive PR or last ditch money before they bail out and declare bancruptcy. So let's get to it and refute (at least as much as I care to, you have common sense too after all) some of the more common arguments and comments.

Impressions: Alan Wake's American Nightmare

Thursday, November 29, 2012

Disclaimer: this article will contain spoilers on the game Alan Wake.

Alan Wake’s a pretty nice game. It has an interesting story, to say the least, but the end was quite the cliff-hanger. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare solves this... I think.

Impressions: Botanicula

Sunday, November 25, 2012

If I had to describe Botanicula in one word, it would be pulchritudinous… okay, maybe not. But I would qualify it as cute and adorable. It deserves attention for many reasons, but mainly because it is an experience that will send you back into childhood, and will soften your stone-cold killa gamer heart and pump the cynicism from your veins.

Impressions: Deadlight

Friday, November 23, 2012

Zombies. We can’t get enough of them apparently. They come in a few different varieties, and so do the games that feature them. While the video game industry has seen its fair share of ‘zombie shooters’ and the like, zombies have rarely been implemented mainly as a theme rather than a core mechanic – and for that alone Deadlight merits some praise as being an interesting spin on the genre.

Impressions: Cargo Commander

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Space. Space is vast, cold, dark and filled with crates, according to Cargo Commander. In a galaxy far away from home a bearded man makes a living off scavenging cargo in space, away from everybody else, home, earth, his family. That man is you. With the help of your trusty robotic arm drill, which is also a gun, you will break into containers, jump around, find cargo to bring back, possibly asphyxiate in space, get blown up, drilled alive by space mosquitoes, clawed to death by mutated former colleagues and maybe receive a drawing from your son back home every once in a while. In the grim darkness of Cargo Commander, there is only scavenging.

Introduction: Sup?

Monday, November 12, 2012

Welcome to Angbadang, ladies and gentleman, a name spawned from the wondrous imaginarium of the exalted prophet of the Space Butterfly, Jesse Cox (so hopefully he won't sue us for using that name because, well, we couldn't find anything else... and Moonbound was already taken, sadly).
